And it all ends with a French Kiss!

images1Good Morning!

It was a fabulous Oscar night! We can’t get over how great all the food came out. And we are the first to admit – it’s the first time we made Borscht or these Honey Balls. After researching a variety of recipes on both, we fashioned our own versions and were so exciting that they were as delicious as we imagined they’d be! We were also so pleased to be able to get all the recipes to you! KitchAnnette tested and approved! 🙂

Now… the only thing we were remiss on discussing was the evening’s beverages. We had many different selections for our guests featuring delicious prosecco – a little bubbly for a gala is always the right choice. This year we had a signature cocktail which turned out to be almost prophetic – The French Kiss featuring Café Bohème Coffee Creme Liquer (http://www.cafeboheme.com)! As we all know right now, The Artist won many awards including Best Picture, Best Actor, and Best Director! Although not a film about France or Paris, but about old Hollywood, the film is a French creation. And Paris was also evident in the obvious Midnight in Paris and Hugo. Not to mention the 1920’s as a theme. And Café Bohème is inspired by exactly that. We salute and recommend this delicious cocktail! (Oh and only if you are at least 21 years old and please don’t drink and drive or drink to excess.)

And so ends another Oscar year. Thank you for all your support and suggestions. We’d like to salute Erin Bodine Johnson for her astounding The Helping (of mashed potatoes), Nancy Zito for giving us the delectable The Brie of Life (with a lovely assortment of crackers), and my mom, Toni Giachello Zito for the quickly-devoured and we-want-another-now incredible The Tartist Apple Torte. We couldn’t have done it without you!
